Refund Policy

This Policy explains when payments made on KADI Xchange may be refunded. It covers subscriptions, premium listing boosts, contact unlock fees, and platform transaction fees.

1. General principles

  • KADI is a marketplace facilitator. We do not handle the physical commodity, shipping, inspection, or quality of the goods traded between users.
  • Refunds for the underlying commodity transaction (the goods themselves) are the responsibility of the seller, not of KADI.
  • Refunds of platform fees are issued in the original currency and to the original payment method through Paystack or the relevant payment provider.

2. Subscription refunds

  • You may cancel your Premium or Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the current paid period remains active.
  • We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription. If you cancel within 14 days of the first charge and have not made significant use of paid features (such as more than 3 contact unlocks), you may request a full refund.
  • Renewal charges (after the first 14 days) are non-refundable, except where required by law.

3. Contact unlock fees

  • Contact unlock fees are non-refundable once the counterparty's contact details have been revealed.
  • If the counterparty's account is later confirmed by KADI to be fraudulent, impersonating another business, or in serious breach of these Terms, you may request a refund of the unlock fee within 30 days.
  • Disputes about whether a counterparty "responded" or "was responsive enough" do not qualify for a refund.

4. Premium listing boosts

Premium listing fees pay for additional visibility for a fixed period. Once a listing has been boosted and made visible, the fee is non-refundable. If a technical fault on our side prevents the boost from being delivered, we will either re-run the boost or refund the fee.

5. Marketplace transaction fees (1.5%)

  • Transaction fees are deducted at settlement on successfully completed trades.
  • If a settled trade is later cancelled by mutual agreement of both parties and the seller refunds the buyer in full through KADI, the corresponding 1.5% transaction fee will also be refunded.
  • If a buyer pays the seller off-platform after using a paid contact unlock, KADI does not refund any fee, and such circumvention is a breach of our Terms.

6. Disputes & chargebacks

Before initiating a card chargeback, please contact info@kadixchange.com. Most issues can be resolved within 5 business days. Unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension.

7. How to request a refund

  1. Email info@kadixchange.com with the subject line "Refund request — [transaction reference]".
  2. Include your account email, the transaction reference, the date of payment, and the reason for the request.
  3. Our team will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank.

8. Account suspension & unused balance

If we suspend or terminate your account for breach of our Terms, no refund of subscription, unlock, or boost fees is owed. If we terminate your account for reasons unrelated to your conduct (for example, withdrawal of a service in your country), we will refund the unused portion of any active subscription on a pro-rata basis.

9. Statutory rights

Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under your local consumer-protection or commercial law.
